I hear your concerns and they are important to me. I am going to escalate these concerns up the chain of command in order for them to fall on the appropriate deaf ears.

Postcard #182: Vote.
Text:
It's November 2nd. My wife and I just finished dinner. It feels... like how I felt the night before a hurricane was due to strike. I feel like I should be doing something but there is nothing to do until the new pandemonium begins. These past four years have been "stupid chaos" and there is a chance whole new starting "stupid chaos" that I am completely unfamiliar with. Maybe it's dangerous maybe it's more of the same... maybe it will be a glimpse of sanity. When people talk about the election and I am unsure of the political affiliation I just comment that it is wonderful that this election is on track to have the most voter participation since 1908... but that is only 65%. I will then ask people should it be our goal to make this # = 100? Tonight marks my last night in blissful ignorance of how bad it can actually be...It feels a whole lot like when Trump won against HRC.

So I had a whole card written on the back on the back of this. But. I don't think I want to transcribe it all. I think I might rework the writing differently. It essentially was the embodiment of this graph:

Postcard #152: "Grimm"
Sent to Laura C.

This was found and purchased at the “Grimm” estate sale. I have no clue if it was featured in any episodes. There was a lot of stuff. They must have sent people out to buy stuff from goodwill's or flea markets. Many of the items still had price tags on them. I bought belts for a furniture piece I have been working on. I few jackets that may or may not have been worn by Hank or Monroe. A mug that may or may not have been in Rosalee’s hands in a morning scene. A few flannels that may or may not have had a dead wesen in them at some point. I have yet to finish the show...and they stopped filming and the series finale was a few weeks ago. I do not like the show as I much as I used to earlier on the show. It feels like the show is on its way to ending poorly. “Juliette” is putting on her leather jacket and she is revving her motorcycle; getting in position for a sixth season shark jump.

Postcard #141: "Cold #10 (Final)"
So here is the finale of the Cold series. I suppose I should type it all up so it is in one flowing story that could be read. I don't think I will do that today. I will come back to this entry and amend it with the completed written version of it.
Dat postcard tho. I found it at a recent estate sale. So fucking haunting. A beautiful degree of damage and weathering. It's so perfect for the series. I love it and I was so happy that I was able to put something great on it and send it on another trip. The card is over 100 years old. Which just blows my goddamned mind.
Yes, that is my address if you are reading and would like to send me something or start a correspondence.

You would have really liked this trip. I
should have done this road trip sooner. But to
leave work for such an extended time…So
now I fear somehow I’m missing things
and I owe it to myself to see as much as I can.
“Come on Tom!” You’re saying to yourself with-
out a doubt. It’s impossible to see everything!
West, East, North, South. There’s too much! Perhaps
with immortality such a feat could be achieved. The
U.S. is a fantastic place…physically. SEE IT!
Much love.

FROM THE DESK OF ADULT SWIM
A user on Postcrossing sent me a bunch of adult swim related
cards because her son works for William Street (I think) and she gets cards she
is unwilling to mail to people. A few of them are questionable. Tim & Eric.
Tom goes to the mayor. But I could not think of anyone better to receive this
card and appreciate it. We are literally in the middle of America right now.
Lebanon, KS. I am hoping for the sort of clarity one might expect being here on
Memorial Day. Can’t wait to hang out again.

This is another card that was sent from the center of the US. It was so windy there I had to hold the cards to keep them from blowing off the chipped grey picnic table. This was one of the awesome cards that I received from another Post-crossing member through a direct swap.

Campana de Maimona
In 8-9th grade I had a job working for my godfather.
I would ride my bike to and from work everyday through the parking lot of my
old high school. My diagonal shortcut required me to…recklessly cut through
numerous parking curbs in the lot. One evening I caught my back wheel on one of
these curbs and flew over my handlebars. I landed on my forearm. I rode
home…one-handed. I could move my arm, but it hurt. To stave off a visit from
social services my father and I decided to get an x-ray. At Mercy hospital ER…I
was triaged and told to wait. Presumably, the back of the line…Only in Miami
would the emergency room waiting room have a patio area for smokers. Eventually, a woman poked her head on the patio. “Jack Meehoff?” She asked with a Cuban
accent. My father and I looked quizzically. “Jack?” She asked again. We needed
her to say the whole name. “Jack? Jack Meehoff?” my father and I shook our
heads, stifling our laughter until she disappeared back inside the whole patio
laughed. I wonder if she ever found him or what the reason was for his visit.
